This is my first purchase of a "cowboy hat" I have tried on more expensive hats but wasnt looking to spend a fortune, if youre looking for a quality product at an affordable price this hat delivers looks good and feels good, the only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is its a little too big nothing a bandanna underneath wont fix though. Speedy delivery is a major plus in my book and the delivery was very fast "3 days" hat band is a little small but for the price I wont complain all in all a good product.

Just got back from Nashville 2 weeks prior to ordering the hat, looked at many hats in Nashville and when this hat arrived i was very happy. Overall quality great and for me the fit was perfect and price good would highly recommend this product

Even though this is called a man's hat, I think it looks great for women as well and can be worn with a number of casual outfits. The only thing I did not like was the small, masculine hat band that comes with it, but I replaced it with a horsehair band that gives it a more genuine and softer look and feel. I am very pleased with it and just wish Sheplers could offer the same style in white or beige. I would buy that too!

I think the quality is great for the money. The only problem is the hat seems over sized... I ordered a large of which all my hat are but this hat is just a bit larger?

I like it... just had to add a little strip of thin foam rubber (came wrapped around hat as protection) to the inside flap to tighten it up a bit. Was a bit loose for 7-1/4 size. Otherwise, excellent.

I ordered the same size I have worn for the past 50 years. I double checked my size to make sure I had not made a mistake on sizing. The hat said it was my size but was entirely too large. I also order two straw hats and had the same thing happen with them.

I bought this hat for my 72-year old Dad as a Father's Day gift and shipped it to my family home in England. Here's my Mum's commentary: "Well what can I say, Himself is over the moon! On Cloud 9! Like a dog with two tails! He was so happy when the parcel arrived. Just one thing, how the dickens do I get him to take it off?!!"
I think that means he loves it. :) I was worried when the box arrived and one side had caved in, but the hat is just as crushable as advertised and was still in perfect shape!

I was unhappy with the way the back and front brim were bent down !! I tried to bend the wire up like I wanted it, but still didn't work very good.
The picture shows the brim rounded out, both front and back. Guess I wasted my money, and I won't be wearing this hat. Also it is lighter weight than I thought !

The hat is as described. I went with the larger size because I could make it smaller by adding something under the head band., you can't make it larger.

Although I carefully measured my head and ordered a medium sized hat per the web site information, it was a little big. I put a little of the foam that came with the hat under the interior band, and it fits fine now. Purchased an identical hat for my husband. He liked it. The price was right. Frankly, it looks like a much more expensive hat. I had looked in our local hat stores for this hat, and they were all about $20.00 more. We're going to wear our cowboy/girl shirts, boots, jeans with our hats on our cruise this year. I will wear it around town too. I might start a trend in LA, CA. Now, I need a straw cowgirl hat for the summer.

I had just volunteered for duties at a an equestrian event for the Tournament of Roses on short notice and I needed to buy a cowboy hat fast. I was shocked at how expensive these hats could be (Stetsons for $800 and more!!!). Although I didn't want to spend a bundle, I didn't want to look like a fool either and I was about to be rubbing elbows with hard-core cowboys.
This hat turned out to be perfect. I saw many of the cowboys/cowgirls wearing similar style hats so my fear of looking like Howdy Doody quickly disappeared. The weather was awful too. It poured all day and many of the "hardcore" were wearing hat covers for their hats. I went commando. But my hat didn't get soggy and looked just as good at the end of the day as it did right out of the box.
Not that I'm an expert on cowboy hats but this is a very good hat made even better because of the great price. And the ladies told me it made my butt look good too (kidding).
I'm going to be looking for reasons to wear it more often. Maybe I'll start riding horses.
